Ale brewed with coriander, orange peel; pinot noir added with 11% aged in wine barrels, 89% in oak; 10% ABV.

Smoother than expected, with an initial hoppy palate, finishing fruity like a wine.

Dogfish Head Burton Baton

A beer brewed with milk sugar – lactose – may not be the smartest idea for someone that is lactose intolerant, but I’m willing to make that sacrifice.

Smooth, sweet as expected. Tasty.

Bells Winter White Ale

Tasty Belgian White-style, not heavily spiced. When my fiancée opened ours, I thought we were going to have a redux of the Port City Tidings. This one is not as heavily spiced, not as citrus, without a lot of clove flavor, and to my palette, a bit sweeter. This one would have been a good one with the turkey dumplings tonight.

Kona Brewing Koko Brown

Strong, but not at all overpowering bouquet of coconut. The ale is smooth, and the coconut flavor barely noticeable. A bit nutty. Quite good.

Port City Tidings ale

Alexandria-based Port City ale. Very similar in taste to a Belgian Gran Cru, but a little sweeter. Can definitely taste the honey and cloves.

Southern Tier Imperial Choklat Stout

Amazingly good. Malty, chocolately rich.
