iPhone 1.1.1 (Sep 2007) update

I was on the road yesterday when it was released, so I had to wait until just now to update my iPhone. I don’t have any hacks installed, so it went well. Based on reports from friends, most of the hacks are just being overwritten. Phil Schiller has reported of two unlocking programs bricking phones – iUnlock and Anysim.

TV-Out on the iPhone is pretty slick. Maybe I will rip my Powerpoint presentations into a Quicktime MPEG-4 movie and just present it on projectors. You have the choice of outputting widescreen or standard.

Alert volumes match ringer volume. The receiver and speakerphone is now louder. About time.

You can turn off EDGE data when traveling internationally.

The home button can be set to double-click to phone favorites, and you have the option of iPod controls. There is an option to override the phone choice for the iPod control choice if you are using the iPod functionality.

You can watch a video of the new changes.
